TODAY I heard...Aung San Suu Kyi

TODAY I heard my friends talk about Aung San Suu Kyi, how we all wanted to watch a movie The Lady directed by Luc Besson ,starring Michelle Yeoh. The Lady depicts Aung San Suu Kyi's   struggle to free Myanmar from its Military rulers that has opposed to democracy and human rights.

My friends have been encouraging me to do a potrait. I have never done any potrait before but if I am going to do one, I would choose the most courages women alive, Aung San Suu Kyi.

I fear I would not be able to execute it successfully. I fear I neither have the time nor talent. Moreover, now I am only dreaming about summer vacation and not doing anything is part of my plan for now.

"The four basic ingredients for success are: you must have the will to want something; you must have the right kind of attitude; you must have perseverance, and then you must have wisdom. Then you combine these four and then you get to where you want to get to."- Aung San Suu Kyi
I suppose I should at least try to do a quick one.

I hope I could get away with this one.

“The only real prison is fear, and the only real freedom is freedom from fear”
― Aung San Suu Kyi

Another quote I particular like by Aung San Suu Kyi is
"I have learnt to be happy with small things such as for example the ability to go to bed early... I think to myself 'Ha, I’m going to bed early today', and that makes me happy."

I have learnt to be happy too doing the most mundane things in life that has no significant meaning to anybody and no great impact to the world. Like gardening, drink tea, reading, chatting with friends, clay and ceramics and painting.
Giving is a small little gesture that I find so satisfying, it makes me happy too. I want to give but what? Here TODAY I decided I wanted to give....

I am giving this away as a gift, please click "like" at my Facebook page at
